First A Little History
Inside Mac Games, Macgamefiles.com, Macgamestore.com, and Mac Game Arcade are owned by Tuncer Deniz, a long-time veteran in the Mac gaming market. Deniz first launched Inside Mac Games as a floppy disk magazine in 1993 and it eventually became a DVD magazine in 1995.In 1996, the Inside Mac Games web site was launched. Inside Mac Games today covers Mac gaming news, previews, reviews, features, and more.
In 2000, the company launched Macgamefiles.com, a one-stop source for Macintosh game files. The web site features lively libraries of Macintosh demos, shareware, updates, tools, add-ons, and more.
Launched in April 2005, Macgamestore.com is the largest online Macintosh gaming store on the planet.
In 2008, the company will be launching Mac Games Arcade, an innovative digital download application for Mac gaming.
Our Goal
Our number one goal is developing strong relationships with quality partners who develop and sell Macintosh games. We currently work with over 100 developers and growing (see the list on the right).
The Initial Process
Getting your Mac games listed on Mac Games Arcade is a fairly easy process. After you submit your request, our team will contact you to go over the logistics such as signing a contract, getting the game and assets, etc.
Please note that due to the huge variety in the quality of Macintosh games, we will not be able to accommodate every developer request.
Wrapping Your Games - Mac Games Arcade has created its very own custom wrapper that allows us to wrap full versions of your games. You simply provide us with the full version and we take care of the rest. Customers will be able to run your game in a 'demo trial mode' for 60 minutes before requiring to buy. If you would prefer that we offer a 30 minute demo or no demo at all, that can also be arranged.
Using Your Wrapper - Some developers prefer to use their own wrapper on Mac Games Arcade. It would be our preference to use our wrapper for various reasons but using your wrapper is an option. The main advantage of using our wrapper is that games can auto-serialize when purchased via Mac Games Arcade (the applications embeds the serial number). Let us know when you contact us what you would prefer.
Royalties and Payments
Royalty payments are made to developers via check, direct deposit, or PayPal. We also do wire transfer if your company is outside the US. If you're interested in Mac Games Arcade exclusively selling your products, a more publisher beneficial royalty arrangement can be made.
Reporting
MGS has full reporting capabilities. Once your products begin selling on MGS, we can provide you with an exclusive login and password for your products. You'll be able to check real time sales data, downloads, serial numbers used, etc.
